We’re enjoying the sunshine for the first time in 5 days and no one here is mad about it. One of the big perks of homeschooling is that we can all soak up the extra Vitamin-D and my children are currently sprawled out like starfish on the warm concrete of the back patio while I write and it feels like a good arrangement for each of us.
We’re on the tail-end of Hurricane Ian here, but Terry and Eric’s wedding was in the thick of it this past weekend, and the gray skies and sheets of rain bothered exactly no one. It was an intimate day filled with warmth and love, a dozen small children parading up the aisle (I vote yes for this at all weddings), bubbled over happiness, tiny girls spinning teacups in floofy dresses, and no one gave a second thought to the churning Chesapeake right outside the window.
This wedding was thoughtfully planned and executed by Sara Reynolds Events – I loved the luxurious ivory and green color palette with pops of silver in the Inn at Perry Cabin’s Commodore room, complete with crackling wood fire and lush florals around the hearth. It was a beautiful, emotional day, and I’m so thrilled for Terry + Eric to spend the rest of their lives together. Cheers to forevermore!
