I think this might be a first in my photography career and I hope it’s not the last – an elopement! David and Erica got married in her hometown of Harrisburg, PA and it was a fun change-up from a traditional wedding – we indulged in an extended portrait time, bounced all over the city, and easily decided we still needed a cake cutting (see to the end!).
We watched the radar all week long and it kept shifting from sunshine to rain, back to sunshine – like, commit to it, Weather. As soon as we left the courthouse, the sky was turning gray in the distance and it was getting windier by the second. I wasn’t entirely upset about the breeze because I adore a blustery veil more than the average person, but a downpour is no bueno. We were able to shoot their romantic portraits for over an hour in multiple locations in Harrisburg and managed to duck inside a bakery seconds before the sky opened up. And I think a cake-cutting under a neon bakery sign in the pouring rain might be my new favorite way to eat dessert. It’s a vibe.
Many thanks to these vendors and congrats to the newlyweds!
