I’ve got a brand new Frederick, MD engagement session to share with you today – this time, Emily and Jake at historic Gambrill Mill! We are enjoying a jam-packed, super-fun season of life right now, I am living part-time at the ballfield and photographing incredible people on the weekends. Our homeschool year is winding down […]
Heather and Jeff’s wedding at Blue Valley Vineyard in Delaplane, VA was not only an absolute blast, but it was also the most unreservedly windiest wedding I have ever photographed! Most brides prepare a rain plan, but I imagine most don’t consider a wind plan. There was just no escaping it, but Heather had the […]
Despite needing three layers plus winter boots at the softball fields last night, I am presenting this beautiful session today as hard evidence that spring really is here! My endless sneezing is also a pretty good indicator that pollen abounds, and I’d like to thank the makers of Zyrtec and whatever likely-expired brand of antihistamine […]
I had my first wedding of the year this past weekend, a windy and love-filled day at Blue Valley Vineyard in Delaplane, VA, and it was such a nice way to break into the 2025 season. It’s been a bonkers-busy week chatting with 2026 brides, scheduling spring engagement sessions, and booking hotels for weddings on […]
Good morning from the Thomas Household, where the currently energy level is, “ALEXA, PLAY PARTY IN THE USA” followed by 360° scooter spins in the center of the living room. I love the enthusiasm, although I cannot reasonably be expected to match it at the tender time of 7:57 AM. In the words of Rick […]
I am beyond excited to finally share this colorful, funky, vibrant, joy-filled Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum wedding with you! In case you missed it, Allison +Ed’s St. Michaels wedding was featured in the glossy pages of Baltimore Weddings latest issue so be sure to snag yourself a copy if you’re like me and get a little […]
Good morning from the North Pole Gettysburg, PA where we’re still in the single digits but the coffee’s hot and cute couples are plentiful (on my screen, anyway). Inexplicably, I have made it 13 years as a Frederick wedding photographer without ever shooting at Lake Linganore. I’m thankful for Terri and Patrick who suggested we […]
It’s very trendy right now for photographers to gush about how much they’re missing wedding season. My Instagram feed is loaded with throwback images from last year’s celebrations with wispy captions about the magic of wedding season and wishing to return to it ASAP. They’re lying. We are all hunkered down in wool socks, catching […]
I thought Allison + Ed’s wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum was the funkiest, coolest, most heartfelt, and most importantly FUN wedding, possibly of all time. And Baltimore Weddings thought so, too! I was thrilled to find a package on my doorstep Christmas Eve with a few copies of their latest issue, featuring this […]
I have welcomed the slower season with open arms and an extended exhale. I had my last wedding of the year this past weekend at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House – a gorgeous November affair with black tuxedos, wooly coats, and a very on-brand backdrop, the Domino Sugars sign. I currently sit at my […]
I am beyond thrilled to share Maddie + Marcus’s autumn wedding at Musket Ridge Golf Club with you! It was electric blue skies and vibrant fall colors all weekend long – and I’m so glad because these two deserve all the sunshine and more. Ya’ll already know I love police officers (so much I married […]
As is my custom each October, everything is nuts. The epic pile-on of softball and baseball, engagement sessions, wedding weekends, homeschooling, co-op, and keeping four children alive (the amount of food consumed in this house would shock you to your very core) catches me off guard every year. Justin and I pass each other coming […]
I have the sweetest Gettysburg anniversary portrait session to share with you today! We are absolutely waterlogged after this past week and feeling a little blue for all the activities and sessions that have been postponed from the neverending rain. Softball! We wanna play it! Sessions! I wanna see ya! Let’s enjoy a big dose […]
Hello and welcome to the start of Epic Fall Wedding Season! I’ve got a gorgeous spring wedding at Bluebird Manor in Adamstown, MD to share with you. I’ve been in the thick of engagement sessions for 2025 brides, spending my evenings on Zoom with future clients, and shooting/editing autumn weddings. I also have all four […]
I spent last Saturday night with Sydney and Jake for their Gettysburg engagement session and I’ve never been so happy to be a third wheel in all my life. These high-school sweethearts got engaged on the Hatfield-McCoy trails after graduating from the University of Alabama (I think I am legally obligated to add ROLL TIDE! […]
I want a snowfall kind of loveThat lights up the sky from belowI want a snowfall kind of loveThat brings people to their window Ingrid Michaelson, Snowfall Our summer schedule is in full swing and, stacked with wedding season, it already has me craving a quiet, slower pace. I know that’s not in the cards […]
If you are not from the Winchester, VA area, do you know about the Handley Library? I didn’t until Olivia’s email came through at the end of January and I promptly texted my cousin Robin, she herself a Winchester native, and asked, “Where can I shoot in Winchester!?” Olivia and Nathan were planning on eloping […]
BEHIND THE LENS
After 13 years and over 200 weddings, I've created a wedding experience that is completely unfussy and truly irresistible.
Exceptional, gorgeous photography doesn’t have to be so serious; it can be playful and celebratory. Wanna know what lights me up? Unscripted, in-between moments on fast-paced wedding days and salty cocktail hour snacks. It’s been a thrill to see my work featured in magazines and online, but I’m proudest of all the brides who turned into friends.
LET'S mAKE
