What an absolute TREAT it is to share this Gettysburg engagement session with you today! When we first moved to Gettysburg five years ago, we didn’t know a soul. I was newly pregnant with Maguire and barfing like you wouldn’t believe, so Justin made a double batch of M & M cookies (a task I have not seen before or since) and took the kids door to door to meet the new neighbors. He said they had “big kids” next door, a girl and two boys, and next thing you know, Danielle was here on the regular. She’d jump on the trampoline with the kids (a no can do for me), babysit them on nights out, and, one summer, when our A/C died and it was 85 degrees in the house, let them relax at her house during peak heat. Most recently, she rescued Maguire from the swingset after his fat leg got stuck in the hole and he hollered until she came from her back patio. She’s a gift!
And as long as there has been a Danielle, there’s been a Logan. Together since they were thirteen (whaaaaaat), these two have quite literally grown up together, and now they’re getting married! The way that I screamed when her text came through, I cannot even tell you. The kids are slightly salty – wild accusations are flying around without sweet Danielle here to defend herself. (“She won’t want to babysit us anymore! She’ll only want to watch her own kids!” The audacity, I know.)
We are so, so happy for these two and I can’t wait to celebrate their wedding next year at Christian Royer House!
I’m booking 2026 (and for you procrastinators, a select few 2025 dates) and I’d love to hear from you! Get in touch here.
