Grant and Jess chose one of the most charming corners of Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Tilghman Island, for their wedding day, and it delivered in every way.
The ceremony took place at St. John’s, a little white country church just down the road from the Wylder Hotel in Tilghman Island — the kind of place that feels like it was made for weddings. Simple, historic, and full of the good cheer as they ran through a cloud of bubbles and cheers.
From the church, the celebration moved to the Wylder Hotel, where cocktail hour spilled out onto the waterfront patio and docks. Guests mingled with a bay breeze and open water views while calla lilies — elegant and unfussy — brought just the right amount of softness to the day. Inside, a live saxophone player set the tone for the reception, and I am not mad about the wedding-day-sax resurgence we’re currently enjoying the wedding world.
The weather held out for the day, and I love the windswept, breezy portraits we created!
