Charity and Austin were married in the most romantic outdoor ceremony at Bowling Brook Mansion in Keymar, MD and I’m here to tell ya all about it! This was just the sweetest day – babies and children running around everywhere, family helping to set up, decorate, touch-up, and deck out the getaway car truck. Charity is one of ten children, and as someone who has a big-but-not-that-big family, it was such a treat to see the joy shared from person to person. Her sister was her maid of honor, her littlest sister a flower girl, and Austin matched her toe-to-toe with his big family, too.
And I have to give a moment for the dress. As a Pride and Prejudice fangirl myself, I’m qualified to say that Charity looked like a page out of a Jane Austen novel. Watching her spin through a sunlit field in that gown felt like a snapshot from another time. We sang a hymn together during their sweet ceremony and they shared their first kiss ever tucked behind the privacy of a cowboy hat because hey, that’s their private business!
Their first dance was under the leafy branches of the maple trees and their dear friend made their wedding cake – kept cold in the A/C and brought out to be sliced at sunset. In a time where so many couples skip the cake cutting altogether, this one felt like such a special event that all their guests gathered to enjoy. We dipped back outside for sunset photos for just a few minutes, Charity tossed her bouquet from the front steps, and off they went in a decked-out farm truck with streamers trailing behind.
This one felt so special, so classic, so loving – I could do it again and again! God bless the two of you – what a day!
