As a Westminster Maryland wedding photographer, some weddings just hit you right in the feels. This one was one of them! Danielle has been our next-door neighbor since she was fifteen years old. When we moved to Gettysburg, she came right over to introduce herself and she’s been part of our lives ever since. I’ve photographed siblings portraits for their family, her high school graduation, her college graduation, and now, the day she married her person. And this love story has some serious roots because as long as I’ve known Danielle, Logan has been there.

Their late June wedding at The Christian Royer House in Westminster, Maryland was everything I’d hoped it would be for her. The historic manor home sits at the end of a long, tree-lined driveway, surrounded by perfectly maintained gardens and a white tented reception space. If you’re looking for a venue near Frederick or Taneytown with genuine history and natural beauty, Royer House belongs on your list!

Danielle and Logan were baptized together just the month before their wedding, and that faith carried through every moment of their ceremony. Their pastor from their home church officiated. They took communion together. When Danielle came down the aisle, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house and that includes this not-usually-very-sappy photographer. What can I say? I have a soft spot for this precious gal.

The ice blue and navy color palette was soft and timeless, and Petals on Powell brought in hydrangeas and snapdragons that added just the right amount of color and life. The full vendor team — Ridgebay Events, Aspen Tree Films, EE Entertainment, Genevieve Beauty Co., and Amber’s Beauty Booth — made sure the day ran beautifully from start to finish. The rain held off for us all day long, and watching Danielle become a wife was such a joy. And since her family lives right next door, we can now welcome Logan to the neighborhood.
