Molly and Zack were married this spring in a two-venue celebration that started at Sacred Heart Basilica in Hanover, Pennsylvania and ended with a reception at The Lodges at Gettysburg in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Mint green florals, pops of pink and purple, a regency-style corset wedding dress, and more Pride and Prejudice references than I have ever seen at a single wedding. I was bewitched, body and soul.
I should also mention that this was my third time photographing a wedding for this family. Meg first, then Maddie, and now it’s Molly’s turn! *hat trick* Getting to walk alongside the same family through three of the biggest days of their lives makes me feel like the absolute luckiest. I’m in the market to change my name to something that starts with the letter M so I can fit in better.
The Ceremony at Sacred Heart Basilica
All three sisters were married at this beautiful and special church, they’ve been going there for decades! Molly walked down the aisle in a gorgeous regency-style corset gown that looked like it was pulled directly from a Jane Austen adaptation only without the muddy trip through the field (iykyk). If you know Molly, you know she is a devoted Pride and Prejudice fan, and that love showed up throughout the entire day in the most charming, personal ways.
This one takes the cake as the happiest, clappiest church exit I have photographed in a very long time. Clapping, cheering, pure unfiltered fun!
Molly made the welcome sign herself, by hand, with Mr. Darcy’s Pemberley estate as the background. She punched up the color for the reception with mint green, pink, and purple florals – such a gorgeous backdrop for an all night party!
I love this family so much! They have welcomed me in every single time with the same warmth, the same humor, and the same genuine joy, and I am so grateful for every one of those days. I feel like a celebrity walking into the bridal suite and honestly, I’m down to clown with that kind of hype! Getting to photograph Molly knowing everything that came before made this one feel extra special.
