Emily and Don were married in Annapolis, Maryland this past April, with a ceremony at St. Mary’s Parish Church and a reception at Historic Inns of Annapolis’ Governor Calvert House, and honestly this day had everything a spring wedding should! Buttery yellow florals, soft green accents, perfect spring light, and two people who were so genuinely happy to be getting married that the whole thing just felt easy from start to finish.

The Ceremony at St. Mary’s Parish Church

St. Mary’s did not need a single thing from us. The light, the architecture, the weight of the space — it handles itself beautifully, and all Emily and Don had to do was show up and do the thing. I’ve seen this church on Instagram so many times and it was such a treat to photograph it for myself!

The Reception at the Governor Calvert House

The Governor Calvert House is a historic property in the heart of Annapolis with beautiful bones (literally, you can see the foundation of the original home through a clear floor in the front room!). We took the second half of their couple’s portraits just out front of the venue in the gardens of the Maryland State House. Emily and Don’s prioritized their time with their guests throughout the day and I know they soaked it all up, one minute at a time. What a day!
