What a sweet day for a couple of West Point kids to get hitched! After a whirlwind 3-month engagement (because when you know, you know) Meghan and Briggs were married at Union Mills Public House this past weekend in downtown Frederick. From our first Google Meet, I just adored Meg’s gentle manner and open mind, and the tender, lovestruck way Briggs looked at her while she was giving me wedding day details. They didn’t want a lot of attention or a big party – just their nearest and dearest to join them for a candlelit dinner after a heartfelt ceremony in the church where Meghan grew up. It was an emotional and love-stuffed day and I’m so grateful to have documented the start of this new family.
And alas, we were not able to avoid attention altogether, as these two lookers were thoroughly catcalled by a group of daydrinkers outside Idiom Brewing on our way out the door. We (mostly) beat the impending thunderstorm for their sunset portraits and then it’s a mad dash through sparklers and into married life. Congrats to you both! Sending love all the way to Hawaii!
