I’ve got a brand new Frederick, MD engagement session to share with you today – this time, Emily and Jake at historic Gambrill Mill! We are enjoying a jam-packed, super-fun season of life right now, I am living part-time at the ballfield and photographing incredible people on the weekends. Our homeschool year is winding down and there’s a rumor that Oma and Pop’s pool will be open soon. Give me 75 degrees and we’re going straight for the deep end with a tray of icy watermelon on the patio, baby!
With so much on the calendar, I am learning to just “be there” with whatever we’re doing. No laptop at practices, no trying to make a grocery list in between school lessons. Initially, I thought this would make me less productive, but it’s been the opposite. Deep work! It’s amazing! And it’s made me feel calmer, more present, and each activity just feels more fun. Speaking of fun – I’d love to introduce you to Emily and Jake! It’s always so sweet to finally meet my couples in person after Zoom chats and emails, and these two were an absolute delight from the moment I arrived. Easy to chat with, sweetly in love, it was just my favorite kind of session.
I can’t wait to celebrate their big day at Dulany’s Overlook in the fall!
My 2026 books are open! Spring dates are going fast, so if you’re getting hitched a year from now, get in touch! I’d love to hear from you.
