I write to you this evening from the Pit of Despair, a place where three of us have succumbed to a highly unpleasant combination of cold symptoms and the others are waiting to go down, too. I’ve been wearing the same cardigan for two days, and the pockets are stuffed with Halls (one pocket for fresh drops, one for wrappers) and yes, I might be 85 years old. Despite the midnight coughing, I am grateful to get it over with – it’s my first weekend off in over two months and then we’re back to finish out fall weddings the next two weekends. *cue confetti*
I’ve got the prettiest backlog of work to share with you and I’m looking forward to the winter months that are slower with shooting and more conducive to large mugs of tea and time to write. First up, I’d love to introduce you to Allison and Ed! They’re getting married next spring at one of my favorites venues, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, and it’s already been described as “a statement shoe wedding.” (Peep Allison’s style right down to the pinky toes, I’m here for it.) We took our time scooting around the groom’s family farm with gorgeous vistas, golden sunlight, and a handful of rolls of film – but it’s their easygoing love that made it so special, and I am so excited for their wedding next year. *cue more confetti*
