Beth + Kyle | Valley Country Club Wedding

October 3, 2018

I’ve had to pick myself up off the floor about 17 times over the last 5 days just trying to get through this wedding. I was so pumped because Beth and Kyle are the best, then I had to make it through the wedding day itself which involved a lot of happy-crying and hugging, and then I spent the last 3 days telling anyone who would listen how absolutely precious their wedding day was. How precious, you say? LET ME COUNT THE WAYS.

The generations-deep family traditions that Beth carried with her on her wedding day. Vintage aquamarine earrings, her grandmother’s diamond in her engagement ring, an emerald and diamond brooch that the five brides before her all carried on their wedding day. I told Beth that my grandmother once gave me training bras when I was 7 so this seemed like a step up.

Bridesmaids tall and small – ALL FEELING THEIR FEELINGS. If you’ve ever worked with me before, you know I say fuhgeddaboudit when it comes to withholding tears for the sake of your makeup. Let your freak flag fly. I adored these lovely ladies – so sweet, kind, attentive, funny (and uuhhh beautiful but #thatsobvious) – and I know their friendships only enhanced Beth’s wedding day joy.

Beth’s face anytime she’s within 5 feet of Kyle. I could photograph that girl all. day. long. She laughed through it all, she was never nervous or worried about anything. And when Kyle dropped down on one-knee in the middle of their first dance and belted out, “I NEED YOU BAAAAAYBYYYY” I just thought, “These two. Made for each other.” Ladies, find you a man who will serenade you to Frankie Valli in front of 200 people. That’s what you want.

And most precious of all (and I don’t just mean for the day, I mean for all of life, ever) – Kyle’s grandmother gave a surprise toast that basically put everyone on the floor. No one was not crying. She sang When Your Old Wedding Ring Was New and sweet fancy Moses, I am crying all over again just thinking about it. Please, be my Grandma.

Beth and Kyle, I love you so big. You give me the can’t evens. Let’s do it again! HUGS.
